Tekst omawia rodzaje i narzędzia perswazji oraz ukazuje jej zastosowanie w teologii moralnej w ramach zachęcania do praktyki spowiedzi sakramentalnej. Autor wyróżnia perswazję jako narzędzie do przekonywania innej osoby, odróżniając ją od manipulacji, która może mieć niegodziwie zamiary. Rozróżnia też argumentowanie od przekonywania, gdyż wskazuje na sferę oddziaływania perswazji na intelekt, wolę i uczucia. Omawia funkcję pouczającą, uzasadniającą oraz osądzającą form retorycznych. W zakresie narzędzi perswazyjnych wskazuje na zachęty prawne i teologiczne oraz wylicza obrazy z życia codziennego, które mogą kogoś skłonić do podjęcia skorzystania z posługi konfesjonału i otwarcia swego serca w celu oczyszczenia sumienia i zyskania pojednania z sobą i ze światem.

the article discusses the types and tools of persuasion and shows its application in moral theology in the context of encouraging the practice of sacramental confession. the author distinguishes persuasion as a tool for convincing another person, differentiating it from manipulation, which may have malicious intentions. he also distinguishes argumentation from persuasion, as he points to the sphere of persuasion’s influence on the intellect, will and feelings. he discusses the instructive, justifying and judging functions of rhetorical forms. In terms of persuasive tools, he points to legal and theological incentives and lists images from everyday life that may prompt someone to take advantage of the confessional and open their heart in order to clear their conscience and achieve reconciliation with themselves and the world.
