Portatyl z kościoła karmelitów trzewiczkowych w Trembowli na Ukrainie (1734-1735)

Abstract

W listopadzie 2023 roku na strychu plebanii parafii pw. Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Opalewie w trakcie prac porządkowo-remontowych odnaleziono drewniany portatyl z Trembowli. Miał go przywieźć w 1945 roku ks. Artur Marynowski, pierwszy proboszcz parafii Opalewo. Z napisów ołówkiem znajdujących się na zabytku wynika, że zawierał relikwie św. Prudencji i należał do konwentu Karmelitów w Trembowli, prowincji ruskiej. Zakonnikom podarował go w 1735 roku arcybiskup ormiański Lwowa Jan Tobiasz Augustynowicz. W latach 30. XX wieku ich autentyczność potwierdził ordynariusz łaciński Lwowa bp Bolesław Twardowski herbu Ogończyk. Portatyl jest więc cennym źródłem informacji o relacjach między duchowieństwem rzymskokatolickim a katolickim obrządku ormiańskiego we Lwowie.

In November 2023, a wooden portable altar from Terebovlia was discovered during cleaning and renovation works in the attic of the rectory of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Opalewo. It was probably brought there in 1945 by Father Arthur Marynowski, the first parish priest of Opalewo. Pencil inscriptions on the item indicate that it contained the relics of St Prudentiana and belonged to the Carmelite convent in Terebovlia, in the Ruthenian province. It was dondated to the monks in 1735 by Jan Tobiasz Augustynowicz, the Armenian Archbishop of Lviv. In the 1930s, their authenticity was confirmed by the Latin Ordinary of Lviv. Bishop Bolesław Twardowski of the Ogończyk coat of arms. The portable altar is therefore a valuable source of information about relations between the Roman Catholic clergy and the Armenian Catholic clergy in Lviv.
