dc.description.abstractSprawozdanie z XXI Ogólnopolskiego Zjazdu Katedr i Wykładowców Prawa Wyznaniowego nt. Sytuacja prawna związków wyznaniowych w państwach europejskich. Zjazd odbył się w Białymstoku, w dniach 6-8 czerwca 2024 r. Organizatorem zjazdu był Wydział Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku oraz Polskie Towarzystwo Prawa Wyznaniowego. Oceniając całość obrad XXI Ogólnopolskiego Zjazdu Katedr i Wykładowców Prawa Wyznaniowego należy stwierdzić, że stanowił on interesujące podsumowanie dotychczasowych badań nad węzłowymi i aktualnym problemami prawa wyznaniowego, wyznaczając jednocześnie horyzonty dla dalszych analiz w tym obszarze. On 6-8 June 2024, the 21st National Convention of Chairs and Lecturers of Law on Religion took place in Białystok, entitled The Legal Situation of Religious Associations in European Countries. The congress was organised by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Białystok and the Polish Religion Law Society. On the first day of the Convention, the General Assembly of the Polish Confessional Law Society was held, which elected the Society's authorities for the term 2024-2028, at the same time accepting the reports on the activities of the previous management board and the audit committee. The congress represented the leading scientific centres in Poland engaged in conducting research on legal and religious issues, and the wealth and diversity of the papers presented indicates the growing interest of the scientific community in this kind of problems. This should be viewed all the more positively when one considers the scale of practical difficulties encountered in the area of religious law in European countries - especially in the area of the problem of religious expression in public space or the presence of religious communities and their representatives in public life. In the Polish context, these issues are compounded by changes to the rules for teaching religion in public schools and the announcement of the liquidation of the Church Fund. A growing problem, also noticed during the Congress, is the issue of cooperation of churches and other religious associations with state authorities in the prevention of crimes against sexual freedom and morality. To sum up the entirety of the 21st National Congress of Chairs and Lecturers of Confessional Law, it should be stated that it provided an interesting summary of the research to date on the knotty and current problems of religious law, at the same time setting the horizons for further analyses in this area.
